On top of boasting the same benefits of our Worm Factory® model, including an efficient upward-migrating system, a convenient size, and easily manageable trays, the Worm Box is designed to offer additional benefits to non-profits and municipal governments.
On-Site Composting: Many governments hire trucks to travel and pick up their citizen's food and paper waste. Large-scale use of the Worm Box, a composter that citizens can use in their own homes, eliminates the cost of maintaining a large collection operation.
Optional Base: The base that comes standard with the Worm Factory® design is optional, giving organizations the ability to further cut costs if necessary.
Expandable: The Worm Box ships with two trays. This number of trays allows citizens to take advantage of the Worm Box's upward-migrating design, but also means that organizations don't provide more trays than consumers need. If consumers feel they need to increase their composting ability they can purchase additional individual trays from their municipal government to meet their needs.
New Drain Design: The new drain pipe allows worm tea to easily empty from the collection tray and cuts down on wholesale price.
